The drug Vormin is a highly effective agent of synthetic origin, the therapeutic effect of which is directed to the destruction of helminths.
Form of formulation and composition of the preparation
The drug Vormin is issued in the form of tablets for oral administration of 6 pieces in a blister in a cardboard bundle. Each tablet contains active ingredient - mebendazole, as well as a number of auxiliary components: starch, gelatin, magnesium stearate, calcium hydrophosphate, talc, vanillin, dye.
Pharmacological properties of the drug
The drug Vormin is intended for oral administration and has a pronounced anthelmintic property. The main active substance of the tablet - mebendazole, has an antihelminthic property of a wide spectrum, but its maximum effective is observed in relation to the causative agents of enterobiasis.
When the tablet enters the gastrointestinal tract, the active active components of the drug are rapidly absorbed. Mebendazole causes irreversible processes in the body of helminths and prevents their further movement and reproduction.
Indications for use of the drug
Vormin tablets are prescribed to patients for treatment and prevention of the following conditions:

Contraindications for use

Dosing and Administration
The dosage of the drug and the duration of the course of therapy are determined by the physician in a strictly individual order. It directly depends on the type of pathogen, the severity of the disease, individual tolerability, the age of the patient and the weight of his body.
According to the instructions, tablets should be taken regardless of food, without chewing or grinding, with a sufficient amount of water.
Adults and children over 12 years of age are prescribed 1 tablet with a dosage of 100 mg once a day. Children age from 2 to 10 years, depending on the body weight for the treatment of enterobiosis, appoint ½ or ¼ tablets of Vormin 1 time per day.
In order to prevent recurrence of helminthic invasion with direct contact with a sick person, the course of therapy with the drug is repeated after 2 weeks in the same dosage.
With simultaneous damage to the patient's body with several types of helminths, the drug is prescribed 2-4 tablets with a dosage of 100 mg 2-3 times a day. The duration of the course of therapy is at least 3 days, then, if necessary, the course is prolonged, slightly reducing the initial dose of the drug.
Use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation
Pills Worming is not prescribed for the treatment of women while the child is waiting. This is due to the lack of data on the safety of the main active ingredient of the drug on fetal development in the womb and the general course of pregnancy.
Use of this medication during breastfeeding is possible only if the woman stops feeding the baby with her milk and transfers it to artificial feeding with milk formulas.

Also, with an overdose, there is a change in the clinical picture of the blood, in particular an increase in liver transaminase activity, leukopenia, iron deficiency anemia. With the development of such phenomena, drug therapy is stopped, sorbents are taken and consulted by a doctor. There is no specific antidote. If necessary, the patient is washed stomach and symptomatically treated.
