Pharmacotherapeutic group : ophthalmologic agents. Alpha-adrenomimetics.
Dosage form : eye drops sterile.
Product : transparent colorless solution, polymer bottle-dropper, cardboard box.
Vasoconstrictor and anti-edematous action.
Active substance :
- tetrisoline hydrochloride, 0.5 mg.
Auxiliary components :
- benzalkonium chloride;
- boric acid;
- sodium borate;
- sodium chloride;
- disodium edetate;
- purified water.
VisOptic is a topical preparation related to the α-adrenostimulyatr group. Has pronounced decongestant and vasoconstrictive effect. Helps reduce the edema of the conjunctiva, eliminates tearing, burning sensation, soreness of the eye mucosa. The effect of using the drug develops within a few minutes, remaining for 4-8 hours.
The topical preparation has a low absorption, and therefore its activity does not correlate with the concentration of active substances in the blood plasma.
Indications for use
- Irritation, itching, swelling, hyperemia of the mucous membrane of the eye, associated with the influence of negative environmental factors;
- Injection of vessels sclera;
- Conjunctivitis of allergic origin.
- Individual intolerance to the components of the drug.
- Bacterial infection of the eyes;
- The presence of a foreign body in the eye;
- Endothelial-epithelial dystrophy of the cornea of the eye;
- Children under 3 years;
- Acute cardiovascular failure.
Dosing and Administration
VizOptik solution is recommended to make in the lower conjunctival sac of the affected eye, in an amount of 1-2 drops, 2-3 times a day. To more effectively spread the drug throughout the entire surface of the cornea after instillation, it is recommended to blink intensively. Therapeutic effect lasts for 4-8 hours. In the event that no improvement is observed within 48 hours, it is recommended to cancel the drug.
Immediately after the application of the remedy, blurred vision can be observed, which quickly passes.
It is not recommended to use in combination with other ophthalmic drugs and monoamine oxidase inhibitors (including if the drug was taken in the previous 14 days).
With special care is assigned to patients taking antihypertensive drugs and tricyclic antidepressants. With simultaneous use with guanethidine, it is possible to develop mydriasis (dilated pupil) accompanying temporary visual impairment.
When an overdose of a drug (this happens in case of accidental or intentional oral administration), it is possible to dilate the pupils, cyanotic skin, convulsive and febrile condition, arterial hypertension, dyspnoea, pulmonary edema. With excessive absorption of imidazoles, CNS depression, drowsiness, hypothermia, bradycardia, collapse, apnea, coma are observed.
Especially high risk of eye drops overdose in young children swallowing the drug. To date, a specific antidote is not defined. As a therapeutic symptomatic means are appointed sorbents, gastric lavage, oxygen inhalation, anticonvulsant and antipyretic agents are performed.
Eye drops VizOptik recommended to use only with mild irritation of the eye mucosa. In all other cases, a prior consultation with a specialist is required. Persons wearing contact lenses are urged to remove them before using the drug. Reverse installation is allowed 15 minutes after instillation. It is not recommended to use the product if the vial is not sealed.

Store in a dry place, protected from light, out of reach of children, at a temperature of 15-25 ° C. After opening the bottle, the product should be used within 30 days.
Shelf life of the drug is 5 years from the date of issue. After the expiration date indicated on the package, the drug should not be used.
