Visine Alergy (Visine Alergy) - a unique ophthalmic drug for the removal of allergic conjunctivitis.
Form of issue and composition
Eye drops Vizin Alerji is available in the form of a homogeneous suspension of white color.
Composition of 0,05% solution of Vizin Alerji:
- levocabastine hydrochloride 540 μg - active substance;
- auxiliary components: water, propylene glycol, polysorbate 80, hypromellose, sodium hydrogenphosphate, benzalkonium chloride, edetate disodium, sodium hydrogen phosphate monohydrate.
Eye drops are packed in a plastic bottle of 4 ml, which is placed in a cardboard box.
Mechanism of action
The main active component of the drug Vizin Alerji - Levocabastine belongs to the group of drugs that block H 1 histamine receptors. These receptors are located in the bronchi and tissues. In the process of development of an allergic reaction, huge amounts of histamine are released into the blood, which, acting on H 1 histamine receptors, provokes swelling, spasm, redness, lacrimation and itching. Levokabastin blocks the effect of histamine on specific receptors and eliminates allergy symptoms. The action of eye drops Vizin Alerji begins 5 minutes after use and lasts 12 hours.
Indications for use
- allergic conjunctivitis .
- hypersensitivity to levocabastine, allergy or intolerance of the auxiliary components of eye drops;
- use of contact lenses;
- children under 12 years.
The use of drops in the elderly and with serious kidney pathologies requires special care.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Due to insufficient study of the effect of levocabastine on the fetus, the use of eye drops Vizin Alerzhi during pregnancy is not recommended. It is known that levocabastine penetrates into breast milk, so during the application of Vizin Alerji should abandon breastfeeding.
