The drug Vazoket is a drug that has a pronounced venotonic effect, which is prescribed to patients for the treatment and prevention of varicose veins.
Release form and composition of the drug
The drug Vazoke is produced in the form of oblong tablets of yellowish-gray color with a horizontal strip in the middle on one side. The drug is packaged in blisters of 15 pieces. Each carton box contains 1 or 2 blisters.
The main active ingredient of the tablet is 600 mg diosmin, as well as auxiliary components - starch, povidone, microcrystalline cellulose.
Pharmacological properties of the drug
The main active ingredient of the tablets Vazoke has a pronounced venotonic effect on the blood vessels, which means - a decrease in vein distensibility. When taking the drug inside the patients, there is an increase in venous tone, a decrease in stagnant processes, an increase in microcirculation in the vessels. Many patients note a decrease in pain and swelling of the legs - symptoms that are frequent companions of varicose veins. Thanks to the action of the drug, lymphatic drainage is improved, due to which the pathology of the vessels does not progress further, and the general condition of the dilated veins improves.
Indications for use
This drug is indicated for ingestion in patients with the following conditions:
- Progressive varicose veins of the lower extremities;
- Chronic hemorrhoids in the acute phase;
- Violation of microcirculation;
- Prevention of progression of varicose veins in people with a hereditary predisposition to this pathology.
According to the instructions of the drug Vazoke has a number of contraindications to use, which include:
- Individual intolerance to the components of the drug;
- Violation of blood clotting, bleeding of unknown etiology;
- Patient age less than 18 years.
Dosage and administration
The dosage of the drug and the duration of the course of treatment are prescribed by the doctor, depending on the diagnosis, the severity of the pathological process, the age and weight of the patient, the individual characteristics of the organism.
According to the instructions for the drug, Vazoket tablets are taken orally before meals, without chewing and washing down with the necessary amount of liquid.
With progressive varicose veins or at the initial stage of lymphatic insufficiency, accompanied by heaviness and a feeling of "legs", the drug is prescribed 1 tablet 1 time per day from the morning before meals. The duration of therapy in this case is at least 2 months.
With the progression of the disease and the appearance of foci with trophic ulcers, the course of drug treatment is about 4 months, but everything is entirely individual and is discussed with the doctor.
In chronic hemorrhoids in the phase of exacerbation of the inflammatory process, the drug is prescribed to patients at the rate of 1 tablet 2-3 times a day. A pill is taken with food without chewing, the duration of the course of therapy is at least 1 week. If necessary, the patient can continue to take this drug for up to 1 month.
If necessary, treatment and prevention of lymphatic-venous insufficiency in 2 and 3 trimesters of pregnancy, women are prescribed 1 tablet 1 time per day. 2 weeks before the expected date of birth, drug therapy is canceled.
Use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation
Vazoket tablets are not prescribed to treat vascular problems in the first trimester of pregnancy. This is due to the lack of reliable data on the safety of the influence of the active ingredients of the drug on the body of the embryo. According to studies of the teratogenic effects of the drug on the fetus has not been identified.
In the 2 and 3 trimesters of pregnancy, this drug can be administered to women to eliminate the severity and pain in the legs, but only under the supervision of a physician and in the minimum effective dosage.
The use of Vazoket tablets during breastfeeding is not recommended for women, as there are not enough informative data on the penetration of active substances into breast milk and their influence on the body of the infant. If it is necessary to treat Vazoketa during breastfeeding, women are recommended to transfer the baby to an adapted milk formula.
Side effects and drug overdose
In most cases, the drug is well tolerated by patients. With individual hypersensitivity to the components of the tablet may develop the following side effects:

Cases of overdose of this drug in medicine is not registered.
