The mechanism of action of the drug is determined by:
- Suppression and redistribution of inflammatory cells that migrate;
- A decrease in the number of mediators produced by mast cells;
- Inhibition of inflammatory processes.
One of the specific mechanisms of action of the main active substance of the drug (budesonide) is the induction of proteins (some). These proteins inhibit phospholipase A2. They take part in the metabolic processes of arachidonic acid. This ensures the prevention of the development of foci of inflammation in prostaglandins and leukotrienes.
In connection with the fact that the process of induction of protein synthesis will take some time, and the therapeutic effect of the drug will manifest gradually. The maximum degree of therapeutic effect is observed after 10-15 days after the start of the drug. Due to the great similarity of budesonide to receptors, Budenofalk is able to provide targeted local action.
Inhalational use of Budenofalk allows you to stop bronchial obstruction. During the admission of Budenofalk improves respiratory functions, as well as decreases the frequency and intensity:
- Attacks of suffocation;

Hypokalemia may worsen with the simultaneous administration of Budenofalk and saluretics.
Cardiac glycosides, when taken concomitantly with Budenofalk, can intensify their action due to the lack of an insufficient amount of potassium.
As for antacids and resins (for example, Kolestyramin), which have the ability to bind steroids, their combination with Budenofalk can weaken the effect of budesonide. Because of this, the interval between Budenofalk's methods and the above means should be at least 2 hours.
