Atrovent solution for inhalation

Release form and composition
The drug Atrovent is released in the form of an inhalation solution. The active substance, which is responsible for pharmacological properties, is represented by ipratropium bromide-monohydrate in the amount of 261 µg per 1 ml of solution, which is approximately equal to 250 µg ipratropium of anhydrous bromide. Additionally, Atrovent contains disodium edetate, benzalkonium chloride, purified water, sodium chloride, and hydrochloric acid.
The solution for inhalation is a colorless liquid, without additional inclusions.
This drug is available in amber-colored vials of 20 ml, with a screw cap. They are supplied with instructions and packaged in a cardboard box.
Indications for use
Atrovent is prescribed for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, which causes bronchospasm (including chronic obstructive bronchitis, as well as pulmonary emphysema), for mild or moderate bronchial asthma. In these cases, the inhaler plays the role of maintenance therapy.
In acute attacks of bronchospasm, Atrovent is combined with inhaled beta2-agonists.

Dosing and Administration
