Asparkam is a metabolic drug from the group that helps replenish macro- and micronutrients and has an antiarrhythmic effect.
Asparkam tablets contain the following active ingredients: magnesium asparaginate (175 mg) and potassium (175 mg).
The preparation contains potassium and magnesium, which restore electrolyte balance, take part in the conduction of nerve impulses, support normal heart activity.
With a lack of potassium in the body there is a violation of the conductivity of nerve impulses. When potassium is used in a small dose, the arteries are dilated, and a high narrowing occurs. Component contributes to the provision of a moderate diuretic effect.
Magnesium takes part in the process of energy exchange, normalizes the balance of electrolytes, membrane permeability and neuromuscular excitability.
Asparaginate facilitates the penetration of magnesium and potassium into the cells.
What is Aspark used for?
The indication for taking the drug is to conduct complex treatment of such diseases: heart failure, coronary heart disease, heart rhythm disorders, which developed as a result of myocardial infarction and overdose with cardiac glycosides.
Asparks are also used in the development of hypomagnesemia and hypokalemia, in case of chronic circulatory failure, as part of a complex therapy of recently developed ventricular extrasystoles.
The use of Asparkam is contraindicated in the case of the development of acute and chronic renal failure, hyperkalemia, hypermagnemia, with severe forms of myasthenia.
Heart rhythm disorders, which are accompanied by the development of AV-blockade, are also a contraindication to the use of medication.
Taking Asparkam may contribute to the following side effects: nausea, the development of discomfort in the epigastric region. Similar side effects disappear with dosage adjustment.
With simultaneous use of Asparkam, the effectiveness of cardiac glycosides may decrease.
How to take asparkam?
Tablets recommended to take 1-2 pieces. three times a day. The minimum course of admission is up to 4 weeks. Further use of the drug may be prescribed by a doctor.
