The complex therapeutic effect of the drug Anauran is provided by 3 components:
-polymixin B sulfate is a polypeptide antibiotic. Its effect extends to gram-negative microorganisms, among them are the strains of salmonella, shigella and E. coli. Fungi, mycobacteria, Gram-positive cocci and Proteus are absolutely insensitive to the activity of polymyxin B sulfate. The substance has a slight local irritant effect.
-nomycin sulfate is considered an antibiotic, which refers to an aminoglycoside group. It has a wide range of effects. Bactericidal effect on strains of both gram-negative and Gram-positive pathogens, including shigella, proteus, E. coli, as well as pneumococcus and staphylococcus. Neomycin sulfate is inactive in the treatment of diseases caused by strains of streptococcus.
Lidocaine hydrochloride is a substance belonging to a group of local anesthetics. It is able to quickly remove itching and painful manifestations, has a local anesthetic effect.
In 100 ml of drops Anauran contains:
Neomycin sulfate 375,000 IU;
Polymyxin B 1000000 ME;
Lidocaine hydrochloride 4 g.
In addition, Anauran contains a preservative of benzalkonium chloride and other auxiliary substances, such as propylene glycol and glycerol.

Dosing and Administration
Application of the drug is only local. To apply drops to the external ear canal, use the pipette provided. After this, it is recommended that the head be tilted for a while. Dosage and duration of the treatment course should be determined by the doctor after a thorough examination of the patient. Often, severe infections require parallel intake of systemic antimicrobial agents.
The recommended dose for adults is 4 to 5 drops 2 times a day. Sometimes the frequency of reception increases up to 4 times during the day.
