Almagel T pills - a drug that belongs to the group of antacid substances and is used in gastroenterology for the prevention and treatment of many diseases. The active ingredients of the drug neutralize the adverse effects of hydrochloric acid on the mucous membranes of the stomach and duodenum.
The composition of the drug and the release form
The drug Almagel T is available in the form of tablets with a dosage of 500 mg in blisters and carton. The tablets are coated, have white color and horizontal notch on one side.
The main active ingredients of a single tablet are aluminum compounds and magaldrate, as well as auxiliary components - magnesium stearate, microcellulose, sorbitol.
Pharmacological properties of the drug

- Symptomatic treatment of heartburn, belching and burning in the epigastric region, resulting from the abuse of vinegar, bitter pepper, spices or hot spices;
- Abuse of coffee, with the result that the patient has pain in the stomach.
Contraindications
Almagel T tablets have a number of contraindications to use:
- Individual intolerance to the components of the drug;
- Low acidity of the stomach;
- Atony and putrefactive processes in the stomach and intestines, as a result of insufficient production of bile or other enzymes for the breakdown of food;
- Acute or chronic renal failure;
- Increased levels of aluminum and magnesium in the blood;
- Children's age up to 12 years;
- Low phosphorus content in the body.
Use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation
Almagel T tablets are not recommended for expectant mothers in the first trimester of pregnancy, since in these months there is a laying and formation of all organs and systems of the fetus. The use of any drugs can rudely violate this delicate process and lead to congenital deformities in a child or miscarriage in the early period.

The simultaneous use of Almagel T tablets with indomethacin, tetracyclines, macrolides, psychotropic drugs, iron preparations can be observed their reduced absorption and insufficient therapeutic effect.
