Indications for use of the drug

Allokin-Alpha has a wide range of effects on the human immune system. This drug is most often prescribed in the following cases:

• The drug can be used as an adjuvant therapy for cervical lesions in women or the anogenital region (warts, erosion);
• In the complex treatment of chronic and often recurrent herpes virus 1 and 2 types - in order for the treatment to be as effective as possible, you should start using the drug as early as possible, literally when the first blisters appear;
• As part of complex treatment for acute and chronic hepatitis B or hepatitis C, in order to achieve the maximum therapeutic effect of the drug, it is important to begin its use no later than 7 days after the appearance of the yellowness of the skin and mucous membranes.

Method of use of the drug and dosage

The drug Allokin-Alpha is indicated for injection after preliminary preparation of the solution. In order to properly prepare the solution, the contents of 1 ampoule should be dissolved in 1 ml of physiological sodium chloride solution. In order to avoid the development of side effects, doctors do not recommend using any other drugs to dissolve the ampoule powder. In addition, the contents of the ampoule with a medicinal substance are strictly prohibited to be mixed in the same syringe with other drugs intended for parenteral administration. In acute hepatitis B of moderate severity after confirming the diagnosis, the patient is prescribed 1 mg of the drug three times a week. The course of therapy for this pathology is only nine injections. Depending on the patient's tolerance of the drug and its general condition, the doctor may prescribe another course of Allokin-Alpha therapy.

Side effects and symptoms of drug overdose

As a rule, the drug Allokin-Alpha is well tolerated by the patient. In very rare cases, the patient may complain of dizziness, weakness and general malaise.

Cases of overdose with the drug Allokin-Alpha have not been registered in medicine.

Contraindications to use

The drug Allokin-Alpha is contraindicated in patients:

• Patients before they reach the age of 12.

Gestation and lactation period

Despite the fact that the main active ingredient of the drug Allokin-Afa has no teratogenic and mutagenic effects on the fetus, the use of this drug in the waiting period of the child is contraindicated.

During the period of breastfeeding, doctors also do not recommend to undergo treatment with this drug, otherwise the child should be transferred to a suitable adapted milk formula.
