The drug Atserbin belongs to the group of antiseptics, intended for outdoor use.
Form of formulation and composition of the preparation
Acebin is available in the form of a spray for external use in vials of 30 and 80 ml. The liquid is transparent with a slight yellowish tinge.
The main active substances of antiseptic are benzoic acid, malic acid, salicylic acid and auxiliary components - purified water, propylene glycol, monomalate.
Pharmacological properties of the preparation
Spray Acerbin is used to treat open wounds and ulcerative skin lesions, the drug quickly sets up regeneration processes, relieves swelling and flushing, disinfects the affected surface. With the correct use of the drug, Acebin contributes to the granulation of the wound surface and the rapid formation of crusts, reduces the formation of wound fluid.
The salicylic acid, which is part of the preparation, helps to clean the wound surface from necrotic tissue changes, and also stimulates the regeneration of the epithelium.
Apple citric acid, which is part of the drug, has a positive therapeutic effect on metabolic processes in the wound and stimulates the removal of carbon dioxide from the damaged area, which in turn prevents rotting surface rot and attachment of a secondary bacterial infection.
The benzoic acid included in the preparation has a pronounced antiseptic and antifungal effect.
Indications for use
Spray Acerbin is prescribed to treat such skin damage:
- Scratches, scratches and cracks in the skin, resulting from slightly mechanical stress;
- Bedsores in bedridden patients;
- Trophic ulcers that develop on the background of the progression of varicose veins;
- Long-term non-healing gangrenous surfaces in patients with diabetes mellitus - as part of complex treatment with other drugs;
- Treatment of the skin with fungal infection as part of complex therapy.
Contraindications to use
Spray Acerbin has a number of its contraindications, which include:
- Individual intolerance of the active ingredients included in the formulation;
- Allergic reactions in the anamnesis of salicylic acid;
- Children up to 1 month.
Method of administration and dosage
This drug is prescribed for adults and children to treat the wound surface. After preliminary cleaning of the wound from the crusts, purulent discharge and dirt, Acebin spray is applied to the affected area 2-3 times a day. After the beginning of the formation of granulations and dry crust, only 1 application of the drug per day is sufficient.
Children older than 1 month of the spray is prescribed under the supervision of a doctor no more than 2 times a day. The duration of the course of treatment with the drug largely depends on the overall condition of the wound surface and the rate of skin regeneration processes, but in general it takes no more than 3 weeks. If at the end of this time there is no positive therapeutic effect, treatment with acebinum should be discontinued and consult a doctor to clarify the diagnosis and the prescribed treatment.
The drug is well tolerated by patients, but rare cases of side effects that are manifested in the form of the following symptoms are described:
- Burning sensation and a feeling of tightness of the skin in places where the drug is applied;
- Feeling of heat - this symptom is due to the action of salicylic acid on the wound surface and does not require the withdrawal of treatment. After a couple of minutes, the sensation of fever passes, the pain is dulled;
- Rashes on the skin at the site of application;
- Dry skin with increased sensitivity;
- Allergic skin reactions in very rare cases.
An overdose of the drug
With prolonged and uncontrolled application of the spray of Azerbin in the patient due to the constant absorption of salicylic acid into the bloodstream, the symptoms of overdose may develop:
- Headaches, dizziness;
- Nausea, vomiting, dry mouth;
- Noises in the ears, stuffiness of their;
- Increased sweating;
- Slight decrease in blood pressure.
With severe overdoses of salicylates, the patient may develop abnormalities in the functioning of the liver and symptoms of general intoxication of the body.
If such clinical symptoms appear, the patient should reduce the dosage of the drug and all negative events disappear without any medical assistance.
Interaction of the drug with other drugs
With the simultaneous use of spray Acebin with other medicines containing salicylic acid, the risk of side effects and allergic reactions increases dramatically. If you are already using any antiseptic on the basis of the substances that are part of the spray Azerbin, you should definitely inform the doctor about it.
Use of the drug azerbin outwardly with extensive skin lesions, burns, bedsores, ulcerative processes should be carried out only under the strict supervision of a doctor!
In the presence of even minor violations in the work of the kidneys and liver of the drug, Acebin should be used with extreme caution under the supervision of a doctor, avoiding a long course of therapy and spraying on large areas of the skin.
Do not apply spray azerbin on the mucous membranes of the oral cavity, and should avoid getting the drug into the eyes. If the substance enters the mouth or eyes, rinse this area with plenty of clean water.
If within 10 days the patient does not observe any improvement in the condition of the wound surface of the skin, you should consult a doctor with the purpose of prescribing an alternative treatment or clarifying the diagnosis.
The drug has no inhibitory effect on the central nervous system and can be used to treat people whose work is related to the management of machinery or vehicles.
Use of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding
In gynecology and obstetrics there is no data on the safety of use of the drug in the period of waiting for the child to women. Doctors do not recommend the use of spray Atserbin in the first trimester of pregnancy, when the laying of all the internal organs of the child. The use of this drug in the 2nd and 3rd trimester is possible only after assessing the risk / benefit for the fetus and the expectant mother.

Storage and dispensing conditions
